Just like a timetable is made for a specified time, drawing a soccer field diagram to train the kids on various positions and soccer formations helps in it’s smooth functioning. It’s advisable that young kids between 4 to 6 years in age should be made to play in small sided soccer like a 3 v 3 or a 4 v 4 with no goalkeepers.
Then move to a 5 v 5 including a goalkeeper as the kids mature. There are several benefits. This will result in kids having a lot more fun, learn the theory of the game better, and get touch the ball many times.
At this young age, the kids are getting to learn just the control and passing of the ball. Also start training them on different soccer positions and formations. It’s the right time to allot to the players, roles of defenders and forwards. Make sure that your players land at their positions in so far as possible.
